Care for veterans in your community

The Treasured Veterans© Providers and Partners are dedicated to extending their hand to provide the best care to veterans in their community. Learn about the Care Program:

 Veteran Pinning Ceremony

A Veteran Pinning Ceremony publicly acknowledges the bravery, service and sacrifices made by the veteran and his/her family. The ceremony honors and recognizes a veteran’s service to our country and helps them and their loved ones with the community’s acknowledgement and peace at the end of life. This ceremony can take place on a holiday, such as Veterans Day, or individually at care facilities. Community recognition ceremonies are particularly moving for our Vietnam veterans who may have had a different homecoming experience than others. This ceremony is also special at community memorial services with pinning the family members of a veteran in recognition of their loved one and their own sacrifices made.

Flag Retirement

Treasured Veterans© Providers accept flags that are no longer suitable for display at their locations.  Each flag is ceremonially retired along with a veteran at the time of cremation. This important and dignified flag retirement is carried out by Treasured Veterans© funeral homes across the United States. A certificate is given to the family of the veteran and is a meaningful tribute for all involved. More information on flag retirement can be found here.

Coordination and Application Resources for the Honor Flight Network

Honor Flight is a national network dedicated to the transportation of our nation’s heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill. According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, an estimated 640 WWII veterans die each day. Our time to express our thanks to these brave men and women is running out. Treasured Veterans© encourages participation and will help in any way they can to make this happen for our local heroes. For more information visit: https://www.honorflight.org/

“Getting to Know You” Collages

A collection of photographs and questions compile a collage board to display. The board acknowledges their service, shows pictures throughout their life and lists important information for interacting on a level of understanding. They are also helpful at recognition ceremonies. Treasured Veterans© Providers often design and sponsor these tributes as part of their community outreach.
